THE CHOREOGRAPHIC – THE ANIMAL BODY
My pieces are characterized by their exploration of the extreme physicality of the performers, rooted in an animal body with memory. The dramaturgy focuses on the performer’s unconscious, moving between emotion, relationship, and action.
NONLINEAR COMPOSITION
I draw inspiration from cinema when I create. In the abstract, I find freedom, and I give it form through a nonlinear, philosophical inspiration. This allows the viewer to engage in reflection, on themselves and on others.
SOUNDSCAPE
For more than 20 years, I have been combining choreography with electroacoustic musicians to create original works. I believe that each sound corresponds to the choreographic idea, creating physical movement through the interplay of sound design and lighting to structure the stage concept.
LIGHT AS THE BODY
As a lighting designer, I view light as another body on stage. It is a structure upon which choreography and movement are built, actively participating in the life of the stage, in the performance, and in every human act. In the body of light, the light of the body.
